(St. George, UT) - Dr. Benjamin G. Carter joins Southern Utah Dermatology and Surgical Arts (SUDSA) now able to offer comprehensive dermatology services along with cosmetic surgery and gynecology services.Carter is a graduate of Dixie College, the University of Utah and the Medical College of Wisconsin. He was recognized for his academic excellence as Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society in 2001 – 2002, member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society (2005), Outstanding Medical Student Subspecialty Educator for Dermatology (2008-2009). Carter performed his Internship at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dermatology Residency at Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His dermatology residency training at the Medical College of Wisconsin included comprehensive pediatric and adult general medical and surgical dermatology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery licensed to practice in Utah and Wisconsin. St. George is a homecoming for Dr. Carter who relocated with his family in 1982, when his father, Dr. Grant L. Carter began his medical practice here. His wife Janae and their three children are excited to be in southern Utah where young Ben determined early in life he too wanted to be a physician. "My father’s example of hard work and commitment helping others were lasting impressions upon my mind, said Dr. Carter. "I watched my father attend to his patients regardless of their circumstance," he said. My father's commitment to our family and to his patients has been indelibly ingrained into my own life and medical practice," said Dr. Carter.
