Things to keep your mind off food!

When feeling stressed..Be prepared. Try keeping your mind off of comfort food with things like;
-Read a novel.
-Keep a journal of how you feel during the diet to reflect back on.
-Listening to music. Turn it up! dance around your house as you clean!
-Practice meditative breathing.
-Look through photo albums with loved ones.
-Paint or draw, Get creative! Knitting, scrapbooking, crafting.
-Go shopping! looking around in a store can make the hours fly by before you know it.
-Schedule! Pack your schedule completely full each day to prevent the couch and potato chips (;
-Clean! Wash laundry, the car, the house etc etc. This is also a great way to get excersize!
-Chew Gum...lots of gum are flavored like sweets now days without the sugar, so load up!
-Drink water! Alot of people mistake thirst with hunger. Try drinking a big glass of water before you eat a meal, it will fill you up quicker!
-Stay out of the "Danger Zones"...kitchen, restaurants, grocery stores, and if you are a popcorn fan...movie theaters.
Take Aim!- Make the decision that you will acheive your goals. Write it down, post it on walls, refrigerator, bathroom mirror, dashboard in your car. Let family know your on a diet to help encourage you! Make a goal to make dieting a happy thing....be Positive. (;
