- 3 egg whites
-1 whole egg
-asparagus (allowed amount)
-minced garlic
-1 T dehydrated minced onion
-1 T water
-1 T parsley
-salt/pepper to taste
- ff-sugar free tobasco sauce(optional)
1. Pre-heat Pan over medium heat.
2. Snap ends off asparagus and discard.
3. Snap each asparagus spear into 2-3 peices. Add to pan with garlic and heat to tender.
4. Preheat over to 400.
5. In mixing bowl, mix eggs and water. Add asparagus, miced onion, parsley, and salt and pepper.
6. Pour egg mixture into non-stick baking dish ( or dish lined with parchment paper)
7. Place in oven and cook 10-15 minutes or until done.
8. Top with tobasco (optional) and serve immediatley.
Lemon Chicken Soup
- 100g cooked chicken breast (diced or shredded)
- chopped spinach
- 2-3 cups of homeade broth ( refer to recipe on "Hcg Reciped")
- Juice of one lemon
- 1 t thyme
- sea salt to taste
- ground white pepper to taste
1. Pre-heat saucepan over med. heat.
2. combine all ingredients.
3. Bring to boil, then simmer 20 minutes.
4. Serve.
Apple Crisp
Filling:
- 1 apple
- half small lemon
- 1 T water
- 2 t zsweet( or any sugar sub.) water, and a few dashes of cinnamon. Toss.
Topping:
- 1 grissini
- 1 t milk
- 1/2 t cinnamon
- 1/4 t nutmeg
- 1/4 t pumpkin pie spice
1. Grind grissini into powder using food processor or coffe grinder.
2. Add milk and 1/4 increments. Stir slowly until mixture forms a slightly moist crumbling topping.
3. Sprinkle on top of apple filling.
Bake:
1. Cover dish and bake 20 minutes.
2. Remove cover and broil 1-3 minutes to crisp topping.
3. Serve immediatley.
NOTE: This is really filling and tastes so much like apple pie, it almost feels like cheating! The whole family will love it!
*This includes your 1 T milk daily, 1 grissini portion, and 1 fruit portion of the day.
On the grace period, is there a reason you cannot do your own 1000 calorie diet? Why do you have to continue eating the same if the hormones are not being taken? Can you add cottage cheese as a protein now?

ReplyDeleteHow long does it take to get back if you have a bad day on the grace period? Generally speaking, eating meat 2 times a day is not "normal" for our family. Will I need to eat this way forever just to maintain my weight? Or is there an end to this way of eating? I do not want to gain any weight, but need a variety of foods in my diet. Eventually I am hoping. I am just not clear on how long until a normal healthy diet is resumed.
ReplyDeleteOn the grace period in Dr. Simeons Protocol it says to stick to the same foods, just double the portions. ( if you want to) you can have SMALL portions of fat-oils. like a salad dressing without sugar or some cottage cheese in moderation would be fine. The hormone is coming out of your system, and you will put on weight if you add in starch, sugar. Stick to the 1,000 calorie reccomended in Dr. Simeons for full results.

ReplyDeleteThe actual bean inside the green bean is what is starchy. Green beans are the only beans reccomended. Redried and black beans etc. are the actual bean=starch. I would just stick only with green beans and use them as a veg. serving.
ReplyDelete-If a food has zeros all the way through everything can these be eaten in moderation on the diet? (like the zero calorie spray butter? with no calories, no carbs, no sugar etc.)

*If foods have zeros all the way through they shoud be just fine to use while on the diet. Keep in mind that some will trick you(: We think maybe the pam sprays are because they are an oily base, althought they say sugar free, fat free etc. Probably use alternatives for cooking like making broth into ice cubes and tossing them in when you cook the meats.

* A local place to buy the miracle noodle is Dixie Nutrion. Try that. If there out you can order them off the blog.

I live in a very small town 220 miles from Las Vegas and about 245 miles from Reno. We have one grocery store. What about reqular beef. Or do I need to make a trip to the big city???

ReplyDeleteThe Fritata is adding in more of the meat portion so you would need to eliminate some of it later in the day. Or simply just do 2 egg whites and 1 whole egg. Either way (:
