If you plan on doing another cycle of HCG you will do a Grace Period.
Grace Period…
You have now finished with the HCG injections and will begin your 6 week grace period. Usually your calorie intake during this time will be 1000 calories unless specified differently. Continue the 1000 calories until you start up your next cycle of HCG. You may now eat fat moderately, choose when to eat your meals and mix your vegetables but NO SUGARS AND STARCHES. When a third, fourth, or even fifth cycle is necessary, the grace period between cycles becomes progressively longer by two weeks each time. You can continue in cycles as long as needed until your weight loss goal is achieved. For the first 3 weeks of your grace period you must without fail, weigh yourself every morning as you get out of bed making sure your weight does not increase by 2 lbs. Please weigh yourself after relieving your bladder, before you eat breakfast and with no clothes on. If your weight goes up by 2 lbs, skip breakfast and lunch but take plenty to drink. In the evening eat a large steak and 1 apple or 1 raw tomato and NOTHING ELSE. (For more information regarding this, please see Maintenance Phase and Skipping Meal Protocol towards the bottom of this post)

When you reach your goal weight …
After 26 days you can stop the injections whenever you have reached your goal weight. Continue the 500 calorie diet for three more days after your last injection. After the three days you can now add fat to your diet moderately, but NO SUGARS OR STARCHES for three weeks. It will take about 3 weeks before the weight reached at the end of the treatment becomes stable and does not show violent fluctuations after an occasional excess. Please see the “Maintenance Phase” and “Skipping a Meal” at bottom of page.
Maintenance Phase…
For 3 weeks after your last injection you must without fail, weigh yourself every morning as you get out of bed making sure your weight does not increase by 2 lbs. Please weigh yourself after relieving your bladder, before you eat breakfast and with no clothes on. (If you are doing a grace period this is during the first 3 weeks of the grace period as well) You must have your own portable bathroom scale always at hand, particularly while traveling. It takes about 3 weeks before the weight reached at the end of the treatment becomes stable and does not show violent fluctuations after an occasional excess. During this period you must realize that the so called carbohydrates, which are: sugar, rice, bread, potatoes, pastries, etc are by far the most dangerous. If no carbohydrates whatsoever are consumed; fats can be indulged somewhat more liberally and even small quantities of alcohol, such as a glass of wine with meals, will do no harm. This has to be observed very carefully during the first 3 weeks after the treatment is ended otherwise weight gain is very likely.
Skipping Meal Protocol… (If your weight goes up by 2 pounds)
As long as your weight stays within 2 pounds of the weight reached on the day of the last HCG injection, you should take no notice of any increase, but the moment the scale goes beyond two pounds, even if it is only a few ounces, you must on that same day entirely skip a breakfast and lunch but take plenty to drink. In the evening eat a large steak and 1 apple or 1 raw tomato – NOTHING ELSE. It is of utmost importance that this is done on the day the scale goes above 2 pounds and not postponed until the following day. If a meal is skipped on the day in which a gain is registered in the morning, this brings about an immediate drop of often over a pound. But if the skipping of the meal (and skipping means literally skipping not just having a light meal) is postponed, the phenomenon does not occur and several days of strict dieting may be necessary to correct the situation. Most patients hardly ever need to skip a meal. If they have eaten a heavy lunch they feel no desire to eat their dinner, and in this case no increase takes place. If they keep their weight at the point reached at the end of the treatment, even a heavy dinner does not bring about an increase of two pounds on the next morning, and does not therefore call for any special measures. Most patients are surprised how small their appetite has become. They no longer suffer from an abnormal appetite and feel satisfied with much less food than before. In fact, they are usually disappointed that they cannot manage their first normal meal, which they have been planning for weeks. So please be careful.
On the maitenance period if you dont plan on doing the diet again can you start to mix your veggies and meats? (i.e. 3 egg whites and 3 1/2 oz.steak with tomatoes and brocolli)
ReplyDeleteI'm done with my hcg diet and have some of the miracle noodles i didn't use if anyone wants to buy them. hebusbebus@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteOn the maintenance phase and grace period you can mix your foods (veggies, meats,& fruits). Make sure that your portions are weighed at the right amount, and still no sugar or startch. You are aloud a small amount of fat. example: "lowfat"-or salad dressings that are sugar free with small amounts of fat. Keep in mind that the grace period or maintenence phase is just as important as the first part of the diet. You do need to follow the portions exact to prevent weight gain. And again remember no SUAGR or STARTCH.
ReplyDeleteWhen you are on maintenance can you eat any veggies and fruits or only the select few that we have been eating? Can you eat sugar free, fat free jello? When can we start using lotion and taking our regular multivitamin? Can you list a few more examples of the kind of fat we can add back in during maintenance. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSo if you are not going to continue the diet you only do 1,000 calories for 3 weeks instead of 6?
ReplyDeleteI found "Smart Beat" nonfat mayo total fat 0gram
ReplyDeleteSAT FAT 0 TRANS FAT 0G POLY FAT 0 MONO FAT 0 FIBER 0 SUGARS 1 GRAM. CAN I USE THIS TO MAKE CHICKEN SALAD ETC?
After you are done with the diet you do 3 weeks of maintenance. During your maintenance you can mix your veggies and fruits, add fat sparingly use lotions and take multivitamins. AVOID Sugars and Starches still. The last 3 weeks of the diet are just as important not to make a mistake on as the first 20 days.
ReplyDeleteWhen you are done with the diet and you are starting your maintance of 3 weeks, you follow the 1000 calories for 3 weeks. After the 3 weeks you can return to a healthy eating habbit.
The Smart Beat sounds great, but I strongly suggest sticking to the protocol and not adding anything extra in. If you choose to add anything extra in, just realize you could be jeopardizing the long term effect.
How much does your clinic cost? I am doing my first round of HCG but I am wanting to start my second round in 3 weeks and I wondered how affordable your clinic is verses ordering it elsewhere??
ReplyDeleteActually our clinic as of right now is the cheapest to get started. Its 260.00 which include:
ReplyDelete-40 days of hcg
-B12 vial (which lasts about 2 rounds)
-50 syringes and needles..(so 10 extra)
-Food Guide
Keep in mind the Hcg is being monitored by a Physician and that is always recomended when you are dealing with medications (; If you have any other questions, call our nurse line @ (435)628-6466 ex:101
I don't quite understand whta kind of fats to add in when you are on maintenance and grace period. I am almost done with my 1st round of hcg, I need to do probably 4 rounds. Someone else told me she added in raw nuts and dried fruit during her 3 weeks, but she is at her goal weight.
ReplyDeleteOn the grace period you cannot have any startch at all. So not nuts. Dried fruit may be ok but usually is packed with sugar. 6 wks no sugar, no starch and very little fat...like 3 tablespoons. You can add in different meats and fruit on the Grace Period. No bananas, or starchy veggies.
ReplyDeletePlease try to write your questions on the most recent post..otherwise...this happens.. Im so sorry we didnt get this in time ):
ReplyDeletebra can i jest stop and eat and forget this
