2. Think about what you need to add or take away from your diet. Make a list of your everyday food eating GOALS. If you can, make a list of your daily intake..keep a food journal.
3. Consider whether you are really hungry or not? Hunger is your body's way of telling you that you need fuel, so when a craving doesn't come from hunger, eating will never satisfy it. When you're done eating, you should feel better -- not stuffed, bloated, or tired. Your stomach is only the size of your fist, so it takes just a handful of food to fill it comfortably.
4. Drop the bad habits! If you like to curl up to the T.V. with a big bag of sweets at the days end. No mas! Really think about what you want long term-and get a new hobbie (:
5. Rotate foods. Try not to eat the same food everyday. On hcg its hard NOT to get board of the foods listed. Try new recipes and tricks. If you have good ones please post them.
6. Dont eat while on the phone, watching T.V, checking email, or driving. Your food will dissapear before your eyes and you wont "mentally" be full.
7. Eat mini meals. Try cutting everything in half and continuously eating throughout the day. This will prevent any bad decisions...(:

9. Be Happy. It makes a huge difference in the success of anything!
10. Stock your kitchen with healthy conveinent foods! This, believe it or not its probably the best tip ever! When you are hungry..you want it now. This keeps you well prepared!
11. Eat at home! Preparing your food ensures that you are getting exactly what you want. No sugar added..means no sugar added.
12. Eats foods in season! Tomatoes, strawberries, oranges.... these taste even more delicious when in season.
13. Make a goal! Bust out the old jeans and work for it! Keep things around you reminding you of what you want
14. Use non-food alternatives to cope with stress. Listening to music, practice breathing, crafting etc. Pack your day full to keep you busy.
15. Use spices with everything you eat! It makes a big difference and is very satisfying. Please post helpful information to others or any recipes you have enjoy! (:
I am on the second round of the HCG. I have to make an unexpected trip to my sisters house out of state, I will be there for 4 days. i cannot take enough prepared food (12 hour drive and no room for a large cooler). while
ReplyDeletethere, there will be alot going on and no time to prepare food AND a superbowl party, yikes. I will be at the merci of what food is available to eat. She lives along way from the store. While there i will be on days 18-21, how bad is this going to affect my diet.
is a serving of melba toast or grissini bread one piece or is it a serving like it says on the nutrition facts on the box
ReplyDeleteA Serving of melba toast or Grissini is 1 peice. Which means you can have 2 peices a day of either one. Be careful not to go over board with them, or you will plateau.
ReplyDeleteI have completed 2and a 1/2 rounds almost a year ago. I then did another 1/2 round last July. I run aprox 26 miles a week and I do a 30 min. workout daily of Cardio and strength. I have put on 30 pounds since last april. I do not eat sugar or pasta ot breads or anything I shouldn't eat. I try to stay under 1500 cal. a day. What do you suggest I do to thin down?
ReplyDeleteIn some cases getting lab work done can help to find the underlining problems. I cant imagine you doing the routine you do and putting on weight? My reccomendations are for you to schedule and appointment with a physician to go over general health and medications. And possibly look at your options as far as dieting.
ReplyDeleteOn maintenance is it only the same veggies as the diet? I know no starchy vegetables like carrots and peas. But what about other vegetables like green peppers, mushrooms, sprouts, jalapenos, stuff like that? None of those would be considered starchy would they?
ReplyDeletePeppers, sprouts, mushrooms are ok to have on the maint. phase. You can mix veggies and add in most green veg. If you still would like to loose on the grace period stick to the same foods you have been for full results. You may add in some other meats like turkey and ham. Be sure they arent coated in any sugars. You may call us at anytime to visit about hcg (:
