Try this: For most of us, drinking the reccomended amount of water is tough....For a light and fresh way to spice up your water, toss a slice of one of these in a water container with ice....
Lemon Lime Orange
Lemon Lime Orange
Cucumber Strawberry
If you want to get really creative use a packet of Crystal lite (Lemonade or Pink Lemonade) and Diet Sprite. (This is a great mixture with small cubed ice from Sonic for super cheap!) To make a Delicous Slushy..put mixture with extra ice in the blender!Drink half your weight in ounces of water everyday!
ie:120 lbs = 60 oz = apx 8 cups of water
HI! I thought I posted this the other day, but I can't find it or an answer so here I go again. Where can I find a copy of the papers that you gave to us at the office visit. The papers that outline the diet. I am just starting my maintenance part of the diet and want to make sure I am doing it right.
ReplyDeleteYou can swing by the office for a new protocol anytime. Our hours are sometimes different so call us before you come to be sure we are open. We cannot put the Hcg Protocol online. If you cannot come by for a new Protocol, call us and we'll make sure your fully prepared for the Grace Period. Remember, Dr. Carter prefers to see you 4-6 wks out of starting the shots so you will want to get scheduled for a follow up visit for your benefit.
ReplyDeleteI am in Cedar. Is there any way that you can mail me one? I thought that we needed to make an appointment before we started the next set of HCG.
ReplyDeleteWe cannot email the Hcg Protocol but we can fax it or mail it. Give us a call and we can figure something out so that you've got what you need(:

Ok, so I found the protocol, but I have a few questions for you. While on the maintenance do we continue to eat the same fruits and vegetables or can we add others as well? I also was wondering if I should continue to take B12 shots and the supplements like vitamin C and the Kdur that was prescribed? And, while I was taking the HCG, I wasn't hungry at all. Now, I am hungry. Can I take the appetite suppressant or is that only while doing the HCG? One last question. It's ok for us to continue to lose weight while on the maintenance part right? If this is true, when you talk about gaining 2 pounds is that just from the previous day? Sorry to be a pain. Thanks for all your time and support.
ReplyDeleteThe Maintenance Phase or the Grace Period is 1,000 calorie intake diet. You have the option to double all of your portions from 3 1/2 to 7 oz. You can have different fruits and meats.Try to stick with the same vegtables (no starch). You are allowed small amounts of fat.(ex:sugar free salad dressing that maybe have a small amount of fat) You are still staying away from sugar and startch all together. In your protocol you will see a 1,000 calorie chart to follow. Make sure that you follow the Maintenance Phase correctly. It is just as important as the first 23 days. You can take the appetite suppressant and continue to lose weight at that time. You dont have to continue to take the potassium, and magnesium..but you can if you would like. Be sure that you are still looking at everything you are eating- drinking making sure it is free of sugar and starch. Gaining the 2 pounds goes from the ending weight of the last shot. You can do a steak and apple day as many times as you need to. I hope everything is going well (: Let us know of any more questions.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot. That helped a ton!
ReplyDeleteSo, when you say we have the option to eat 7oz are you saying we don't have to eat all 7oz ( I'm really sick of chicken and it seem like alot of food to me). I was fine with just the 3oz.
ReplyDeleteYou can illiminate anything you want. You dont have to eat all the 1000 cal. We know that chicken can be a little much after the 40 days, so feel free to cut back on it if you would like. (:
ReplyDeleteIs Cube Steak ok to eat on this protocol?
ReplyDeleteCubed steak is fine if it is hormone free and very very lean. It also needs to be weighed at 31/2 oz. Or if on the grace period 7 oz.
ReplyDeleteHow can you tell if the meat is hormone free?
ReplyDeleteIs the meat marked hormone free? And can't I just buy regular meat from smith's meat dept?
Susla, are mushrooms, green and red peppers okay?
ReplyDeleteI ate some mushrooms thinking they were okay and found out they are not listed..???
How about canned crab? Would this be okay, and has anyone tried it?
Where does everyone get their hormone free meat?
Thank-you so much for being such a great help!!
Should we maintain the same amount of water intake during the maintenance phase?
ReplyDeleteThe meat should say hormone free on the package. You can ask your butcher to cut 31/2 oz of hormone free steak to take home and freeze to have on hand.
ReplyDeleteIf it is not on the Hcg list on your Protocol by then you cannot have it. Be sure to follow the Hcg food guide to the T otherwise it will affect your long term weight loss. So no peppers,or mushrooms. Canned crab has additional sugar and oils in it. Check the lable for fat, sugar, or starch.
ReplyDeleteIt will only benefit to maintain the same amount of water on the maintenence phase. Water is proven to make a huge difference in weight loss and health. Continue the water habit you've gotten in to!
ReplyDeleteHalibut fish is AWESOME! If you don't like fish, try this kind. It is awesome, cuz I don't care for fish either, but it is really good!
ReplyDeleteI am told on the maintenance (or grace) Phase I can take my calcium with D if it doesn't have starch in it. What are starch ingredients? Can you tell me if any of these ingred. is starch?
ReplyDeletehypromellose, microcrystalline, cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, titanium dioxide, magnesium stearate, FD&C yellow #5, FD&C Blue #1, propylene glycol, triacetin, stearic acid, acacia gum, maltodextrin.
Looking at this there are a lot of lose in the first few ingredients maybe there is too much sugar in these. But I am really concerned about getting my calcium because i have thinning of the bones. I should take 3 tablets a day.
on the maintance phase when you can double everything and eat when you want to, are you still supposed to eat no more than 4 items at a time and are you supposed to always eat fruit 6 hours apart still?
ReplyDeleteOn your 6 week grace period you may add in vit. D. You may also eat your foods at any time you would like. The fruit does not really need to be six hours apart. Just try not to slam everything at the last part of the day for dinner.
