Basically if its really.... really good, its usually fatty and fits in this category. Keep in mind that these foods are the foods you are eating for 2 days only!! Make sure that you are eating frequently throughout the day. (tip: keep a bag of M&Ms in your pocket)... If you get feeling sick, its normal. Remember these days are going to help suppress your appetite and must be done. Yes it is weird, but its necessary, so take advantage of it!!
I know you have done a lot of posts about maitenance but I have another question. I am in the middle of my maitenance and I had a day where I had to eat normal food, fats, sugars, starches, everything. I didnt gain any weight. Does that mean my body has learned how to regulate? Can I just end maitenance?
ReplyDeletedo you have a fat loading day(s) before the second round of hcg too?
ReplyDeleteIf you eat and your weight does not fluxuate during grace period, your lucky (: ..That means your body is adjusting.. Dr. Simeon recommends 6 weeks for the full result. I wouldnt jump right into eating fats, sugar, and starch. You can add in small portions of fat, but its all in maintaining. Keep in mind last weeks are just as important than the first.
ReplyDeleteOn each and every round of hcg needed you will do your 2 loading days ... thats something to look for huh
ReplyDeleteI am opposite of the person above, I fell off the band wagon for 2 days and gained 5 lbs. I want to go back on maitenance to try and correct this problem but am worried it is too late. If I do a steak/apple day today and then finish my maitenance normally can I salvage the diet? -Mary
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteOn the grace period or Maintenece.. messing up will only set you back, but it wont undo the hypothalamus progress. You can still continue the recommended 1,000 calorie. The " Skipping a meal Protocol" is for the minute you go up 2 lbs on the grace period. Where you have gone up more, it will throw you off but you would be fine to do the Steak and Apple day as soon as you want to.
Can anyone sub and egg for the meat or is that only for the vegs, thanks
ReplyDeleteIt is recommended that you stick to the meats recommended on the food guide. I know the chicken can sometimes be hard to eat all the time and enjoy. (; You may sub the egg for a meat portion only a few times (if that) a week. Not daily. We've noticed that with our patients who were doing the cottage cheese daily it was setting them back. So every now again its ok. But we recommend to stick with the foods listed if you are not a Vegatarian.
ReplyDeleteWhen I went to the meeting, the nurse said that if anyone that had a long history of yo-yo dieting, needed to eat the high fat foods for more than two days. Did I hear her right? Am I supposed to gorge longer? I'm really nervous about this.
ReplyDeleteIf you really blow it for one of the meals during the hgc cycle will it totally set you off course or can you continue with the shots, but won't see the best results?
ReplyDeleteDr. Carter would have instructed specific instructions to those patients who have struggled with dieting for along time or have other issues as far as that goes. Stick to the 2 full loading days, and the routine given. If you have questions regarding you personally, call us @ 628-6466 ex:101
ReplyDeleteIf you cheat, it will set you back about 4-6 days. Which can equal alot in pounds. Keep in mind that the first 23 days is crutial in retraining the Hypothalamus Gland and interuptions during that time and can affect your long term weight loss. If its after the 23 days it will simply set you back and you may struggle getting back in the groove again (: This diet is all about sticking to it perfect!
ReplyDeletePlease try to write your questions on the most recent post..otherwise...this happens.. Im so sorry we didnt get this in time ):
