Breakfast.... or fruit serving try this!
*Strawberry Sorbet*
When off protocol add banana or fresh pineapple, but it's just as good without. The kids love this one, too!
Allotted amount of strawberries
Juice of 1 lemon
sugar substitute (as needed)
water (if needed)
Freeze fresh strawberries about 1 hour.
Blend fresh frozen strawberries, lemon juice & sugar substitute in blender until very well blended.
You can serve immediately or place in freezer to allow it to firm up even further.
TIP: If you don't want to wait, you can always use your fresh strawberries without freezing them and simply add ice & any water needed.
For lunch try this.....
*Spicy Crab Cucumber Salad*
100g crab - shredded
cucumber - peeled, seeded, and julienned (allowed amount)
1 T liquid aminos
1/2 T rice vinegar
1/2-1 T spicy mustard
1/2-1 t wasabi powder
grissini - coarsely ground
Combine liquid aminos, rice vinegar, spicy mustard, and wasabi powder. Stir.
Add remaining ingredients, toss & serve.
NOTE: This includes your meat, veggie, and grissini portion for this meal.
For Dinner try this!...
*Lemon Mustard Broiled Chicken*
100g chicken
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 T spicy mustard
1/2 t black pepper
1/2 t oregano
1/4 t cayenne pepper
Preheat broiler.
Broil 1 side of chicken 5-10 mins until slightly browned.
In small bowl, add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
Spoon mixture onto chicken. Flip over and coat other side.
Broil uncooked side 5-10 mins or until no longer pink.NOTE: This chicken stays really moist and juicy and full of flavor. Enjoy!
For afternoon snack or dessert try this!.....
*Broiled Cinnamon Grapefruit*
1/2 grapefruit
cinnamon to taste (optional)
zsweet (as needed)
Take a knife around the inside peel of the grapefruit so that it cuts out the grapefruit from the peel. (I usually have to use my fingers after this to pull the grapefruit out.)
Separate the sections and place in a bowl. (It's best if the grapefruit is really juicy. If it's not, sprinkle with a bit of water to moisten.)
Sprinkle with zsweet and cinnamon.
Toss, then place back into grapefruit peel.
Broil for about 3-5 mins until carmelized. Yum!

ReplyDeleteThank goodness for a friend that's ahead of me on this program... we are a little confused on the diff between "GRACE Period " and "MAINTENACE".Can you clarify it? I just finished my first 40 days of HCG. Can I eat 4 small meals and 4 fruit snacks spaced thru the day or does it need to be 2 and 2? Can I mix fruits, like and apple and 3 oz strawberries, or do I need to eat all apples? Can I have ANY fruit!? Also Dixie nutrition has many things HCG. Thanks for your help girls.

ReplyDeletePlease refer to the post "grace period". Basically your grace period is 6 weeks of a 1,000 calorie or doubling all your portions. We want you to stick to the same fruits and veg. Still no fat,sugar,or starch. The maintence is for you if your at your goal weight. If you are you do 6 weeks of 1,000 calorie and the last 3 weeks you can add in small portions of fat. (ex:salad dressing) If you are NOT at your goal weight you will not add in any fat the last 3 weeks of the grace period. You would be fine to mix your fruits, and space your meals different throughout the day however you would like. You dont have to eat all the 1,000 calorie, you just have the option to double up on everything. (:

I am getting sick of chicken and kind of wanted to try the crab recipe. Is there any way to buy just crab meat or do you have to buy the crab legs and break them up to get the meat. If you do have to do it that way do you just weigh it after you cook it and get it out?

ReplyDeleteYou may use frozen crab meat. Just make sure that there is no additives. Frozen foods may be heavier, let them thaugh out and then weigh them before cooking. Weighing after you cook is fine as long as you dont boil them or use water based. Either way.
ReplyDeleteSugar Free Jellos still have small amounts of calories,just like the crystal lite. We think its fine to have sparingly. Moderation in everthing like that. There is a calorie free crystal lite-the generic at wal mart that is fine to have all day long because its zeros all the way through. Careful sometimes it can give you headaches due to artificial sweetners (:

You could probably have that lean ground beef on the grace period. It may slow weight loss on the injections. Stick to the food guide for full results.
