Fresh Green Beans

Originally we had say NO to green beans and the HCG diet. We have decided that FRESH green beans, not canned or in any type of oils are fine. The actual beans inside the pod are where the startch is and in very small portions. Beans that are the actual "bean" like black, pinto, etc. are very startchy and are NOT allowed. The fresh green beans are actually not listed on the original Dr. Simeons Protocol. So the decision is up to you. Dr. Carter assures us that Fresh or Frozen green beans with no additives are the only ones you can have. You can incorporate these into your diet. We appologize if we are very confusing. There is so many little in's and out's in the HCG diet, so please work with us (: If you have any questions, call our Nurse line @ (435)628-6466 or leave a comment and well get back to you as soon as we can! thanks (;

  4. Leishmans,
    Green peppers are not allowed on Dr. Simeons protocol. Cooking the chicken or other meats is alot easier on a George Foreman Grill, it drains anything that should make it sticky or burn. Another trick is to freeze chicken broth into cubes and toss one into the pan while cooking. Refer to HCG recipes for a good broth recipe. As for the CHOCOLATE...there is actually a milk chocolate and dark chocolate stevia sweetner that is totally approved on this diet. If they dont have it at harmons it should be online. There is also a great recipe for a mocha on the same HCG recipes site. The Walden Farms does have a chocolate dip and marshmallow as well that can be used on strawberries (or on a spoon (:..) They are usually out of it at Harmons, but it can be ordered off the link on our blog. Another one is Crystal lite, its great for making you think its full of sugar..as well as flavered gums! Good luck! Let us know if you find anything else satisfying!

  5. Most everything from Walden farms is approved..or everything that we've seen so far. BUT always look on the back and make sure they havent snuck anything into them. They are a diabetic line and are claim to be zeros all the way through, but if you do plateau at all..these are the types of things you might consider eliminating. And as always ..everything in moderation. (;
